Newbubbles users accept the following fees and tariffs policy when they sign up as online members or enter into contract with the ‘Company’.
Guidance on the fees & tariffs operated is provided in this document for sellers and clients of Newbubbles.
Newbubbles membership is free.
Once your membership is confirmed on registration, and you login to our site for the first time using your login and password details, you have full access to all our services and facilities.
All items that are listed on Newbubbles incur an insertion fee which varies according to the duration of the listing (see table below).
Sellers will incur an insertion fee for each and every consecutive listing offered. This tariff applies to all types of educational product and service offered through the online marketplace.
If the item does not sell, the seller is still charged the insertion fee.
Unlike other auction sites, there are no fees for sellers to add a ‘subtitle’ to their product listing.
Optional Fee features
There is currently no facility to charge sellers fees for ‘optional features’ on their listing, though Newbubbles is planning to introduce this facility in the future.
Newbubbles charges a commission fee of 3% of the final selling price of each product. If the item is not sold, there is no commission fee.
Calculating Your Selling Costs
The total cost of selling an item is the Insertion Fee plus the Commission Fee.
If you list an item (auction or Buy it Now) with a selling price of £5.00 for 2 weeks, your total costs will be:

From time to time, Newbubbles will be offering insertion fee waivers. These will be advertised on our 'Start Selling' page.
Changes to Fees & Tariffs
From time to time, Newbubbles will need to change its fee structure in line with commercial demands (e.g. offer of discounts, fees increase, changes to the commission structure, service re-pricing, etc).
We do not guarantee to provide users with advanced notice of discounts offered on products and services across our site due to the temporary and responsive nature of such offers, though we will endeavour to communicate with users as early as possible about these potential benefits.
For increases to any fees, charges or tariffs incurred by users, we will provide a minimum of 30 days notice of these increases, through messages displayed on our website, and via the user messaging facility
Important Notes to Sellers
Fees pay for the right to sell on Newbubbles. There are times when your listing may not appear when using a keyword or category search until several hours after you have created it. Therefore, Newbubbles cannot guarantee exact listing durations.
Insertion fees and optional feature fees are charged at the time of listing and are non-refundable.
In the event your seller account is suspended for any reason, any amounts due on your Seller account will immediately become due and payable. Newbubbles reserves the right to immediately charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method that you are using.
Sellers do not purchase exclusive rights to web pages on Newbubbles. We may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any web page within our site.
Important Notes to Buyers
After each purchase event, buyers will receive a product invoice itemising what they have bought and for how much.
Please note that VAT at the prevailing UK rate is added to the selling price at checkout. This will be clearly indicated in your checkout invoice. Buyers can choose to delete the item from their shopping basket at the checkout phase.
All sellers appreciate quick payment and most dispatch after receiving payment, so it's good to pay as soon as you win or commit to buy an item. To make an online payment, follow the instructions on our website to the checkout. The seller will be paid and know to dispatch your item immediately. Otherwise, we recommend paying within 3 days of the sale. Some sellers include information on how quickly they expect to be paid in their listings, and this should be honoured as part of the ‘contract of sale’.
Newbubbles offers two forms of payment. Paypal and Direct Debit from your nominated bank account. All Newbubbles users must set up a Paypal account and register their nominated bank details for the purposes of buying and selling on our website.
PayPal: PayPal is a convenient electronic payment service that enables you to automatically pay your Newbubbles fees. When you sign up for monthly PayPal payments, your invoice amount will automatically be deducted from your PayPal account each month.
Direct Debit: This option an easy way to make payment on your Newbubbles account. Simply provide Newbubbles with your Bank/Building Society account number and bank sort code, and Newbubbles will automatically send a request to your Bank/Building Society to obtain authority to deduct your monthly invoice amount from your account.
Please note that all declined Direct Debit payments from your Bank are subject to a £12.00 administration fee.
For Seller accounts, invoices are generated each month on the 21st of each month and are calculated between the 16th (of month 1) to the 15th (of month 2). Invoices are based on the additive costs incurred by sellers whilst trading during this invoice period.
Invoices will be automatically sent to the seller’s listed e-mail address.
Invoice fees will be automatically debited from the seller’s nominated Paypal account and/or registered bank account (in the event of insufficient credit in their Paypal account). This debit will occur within 7-10 days after the receipt of your invoice
If the seller disputes any part of the invoice, they must use the ‘Contact Us’ section of the website for correspondence. You will receive a reply within 14 days as to what action, if any, is to be taken. At this point, further investigative work may be necessary to take before a resolution can be reached. All disputes are expected to be resolved within 28 days of the initial enquiry being raised by the seller.
For other types of servicing contract, Newbubbles will negotiate payment terms with the individual client, but will usually expect to paid 25% in advance of a project start-up, and will expect the final payment no later than 30 days after its completion.
Payment Terms and Conditions
Newbubbles requires payment in full each month on accounts with outstanding balances to keep your account active. Newbubbles may suspend your account for non-payment of Newbubbles fees.
If you have not paid your outstanding Newbubbles fees after our reminders and warnings, Newbubbles reserves the right to refer your account to an outside collection agency for collection of the outstanding Newbubbles fees. Please note that the collection agency will also charge you a fee for the collection of the unpaid Newbubbles fees, which will vary according to the amount owed and which will be payable in addition to the outstanding Newbubbles fees.
The Small Print
Once a buyer has won or bought an item, you need to pay within 7 days or the seller may open a case to work this out with you in our Complaints Centre. Opening a case creates a dialogue between sellers and buyers and helps to resolve transaction problems. Making contact with a Seller in the first instance usually resolves the problem to the satisfaction of both parties.
If you have any concerns about selling prices or shipping costs, you are advised to discuss this with the relevant Seller in the first instance. Do not buy any item until you are satisfied that you understand what the item is, what it costs, and how it will be sent to you.
